Shattered Raina

Okay this one I -LOVE- I did this near the end of the semester when it was wicked cram time. I had like... one week to do over a month's worth of work. I was feeling like the world was coming down around me with the sleepless nights and the constant pressure of trying to get it all done in time. I sat down and decided I had to draw something, ANYTHING to take my mind off it.

I ended up doing this little number in just over an hour total; and I'm usually a very very slow artist--and yes, I do see this as "art." Anyone who knows me knows that I don't consider myself an artist and I don't do art, I just draw shit. But THIS is something I can really be proud of. I was able to convey the emotion directly into the picture, which I've never been able to do. I still feel uneasy when I look at her, but it's just.. So good.

And for those of you wondering, yes, that is RAina. rAina, the non-crazy looking white panther that is the sister to Reina. Reina pretends to be crazy... Raina pretends to be sane. It's a little more than just that, but this comment is fucking massive as is so I should end it.
